Behind The Door Properties is a family-owned and operated business serving the Lexington, Kentucky area. With a deep-rooted passion for transforming spaces, we specialize in construction, restoration, remodeling, additions, and roofing services. Our journey began with co-owner Elijah Zimmerman, whose early experiences in home improvement ignited a lifelong commitment to enhancing homes and providing exceptional value to clients. Co-owner Aleigh brings a rich background in design and corporate management, ensuring operational excellence and client satisfaction in every project. Together, we are dedicated to turning your visions into reality, creating beautiful and functional spaces that inspire.

They negotiated with our insurance company and got them to pay more to assist in the repairs needed to be completed in our living room and kitchen. We had to have our ceiling, floor, and part of a wall replaced in the living room, and the kitchen needed new flooring, as well. Their communication was timely, respectful, and sometimes even fun! The subcontractor they used to complete our repairs was absolutely amazing. He worked urgently, while still taking the time to fix everything precisely.
